About Tommy Tidwell

Tommy Tidwell has a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Texas A & M. A lifelong Granger area resident, he has extensive knowledge of Granger Lake and its surroundings, having hunted the area as a boy and fished the lake since its impoundment in 1980. Guiding at Granger since 1986, Tommy specializes in crappie and white bass, but will guide for other species upon request. He has been featured on radio and TV shows and in numerous magazine and newspaper articles, and is a popular speaker at fishing clinics and for civic groups.

Large crappie catches and very satisfied customers are consistent outcomes from March through October each year.

The hot summer months provide some of the best fishing on Granger Lake. A Lifetime of Memories - Tommy enjoys teaching young people how to fish, and his guided fishing trips on are frequently given as birthday or Christmas presents.
